Who can apply for the e-bike scheme?

Before you apply, make sure you meet every condition. Missing even one requirement can get your application rejected during Bank of Punjab verification. Here is everything in simple language.

Age

18 years or above

Status

Regular student / teacher

Licence

Motorcycle learner or full

Residence

Domicile of Punjab

Students

The scheme mainly targets students so that young people can travel to college and university safely and cheaply.

Apply portal
  • You must be at least 18 years old on the date of application.
  • You must be a regular student of a college or university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • You must hold a valid motorcycle learner’s permit OR a full motorcycle driving licence. A car licence does not count.
  • You must have a valid CNIC (or B-Form linked to a guardian CNIC where required).
  • Your mobile SIM must be registered on your own CNIC so you receive the verification SMS.
  • You should be a resident (domicile) of Punjab.

Teachers

Permanent and contract teachers registered under the School Education Department of Punjab can also apply through a separate portal.

Apply portal
  • You must be a serving permanent or contract teacher under the School Education Department, Punjab.
  • You must be registered on the teachers’ portal (ptf.punjab.gov.pk).
  • You must hold a valid motorcycle learner’s permit or driving licence.
  • You must have a valid CNIC with a SIM registered on your own name.

Government employees & general public

In later phases the scheme is expected to widen. Quotas for government employees and the general public may open on the official portal.

Apply portal

Special benefit for female students

For female students the Chief Minister’s scheme is designed to be even easier — in the current phase the down payment and registration fee for female applicants are expected to be covered by the government. Confirm the latest terms on the official portal.

Reasons an application gets rejected

Avoid these common problems so your form is accepted the first time:

  • You already own a motorcycle registered in your name.
  • You have an unpaid loan default with the bank.
  • Your CNIC, licence or student details do not match during verification.
  • Your mobile number is registered on someone else’s CNIC.
  • You submit blurry, incomplete or incorrect documents.
