Phase 2 of the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme 2026 expands beyond the first five cities to all 36 districts of Punjab. Here is what changed and what it means for you.
The biggest news for 2026 is that the electric bike scheme is no longer limited to a handful of cities. Phase 1 was offered only in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur. Phase 2 opens the doors to students in all 36 districts of Punjab.
This means a student in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan or any other district now has the same chance to get a subsidised bike as a student in Lahore.
What is new in Phase 2
The government has increased both the reach and the target number of bikes.
- Target of around 100,000 bikes in one year.
- Coverage across every district of Punjab, not just five cities.
- Both electric and petrol options available.
- Up to Rs 70,000 subsidy on electric bikes with 0% markup.
